Stern Lights

There are three stern light configurations (using the 'Guardian' light) available.

One light is mounted to an adjustable velcro strap that can be attached to wing riggers, footstretchers and even to rudder posts.

Another mount is a computer cut aluminium bracket that is permanently bolted to the rudder post and allows a 'Guardian' light to be quickly and easily attached. The light can be removed quickly but would require a very large knock to accidentally dislodge.

If these do not suit you, there is also the Suction Stern Light that is useful as a stern light for singles and doubles. This utilises a modified aluminium bracket to allow fitting of a suction cup and a safety lanyard. This product takes the place of our sadly defunct 'Tadpole' model.

Made by Adventure Lights, the 'Guardian' light is a waterproof and robust unit designed with the outdoors in mind. It can be easily changed between a flashing or constant mode by flipping over the battery when the lens is unscrewed.

Features of the light are:
• visible up to 1.6km (one mile) away
• waterproof to a depth of 100m (300 feet)
• available in white, red, green, blue and yellow
• use CR2032 batteries (same as NK SpeedCoaches)
• batteries last up to 250 hours in flashing mode (about 100 hours in steady mode)
• are lightweight (white bow light is only 75g)
• No tools are needed to change batteries
• can be used with a detachable clip (see General Safety Lights)
