Rowing Boat Lights was founded by Jonny Cantwell and the Schouten Family from the Richmond Rowing Club in Melbourne, Australia. The entire business was set up as a community service for the local rowing clubs and has expanded from there. The business is now owned and managed by the rowers behind RowGear in Western Australia, with Jonny remaining as a design consultant.
